LEADERSHIP
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17

MINISTER
After serving as our minister for 17 years, on Tuesday 25th February 2020, Rev Alistair May was inducted as minister at Dalziel Saint Andrew's Parish Church in Motherwell. So, Stonelaw is now in vacancy and we trust that in time, God will guide the right person to be our new minister. In the meantime, we are delighted to have Rev John Martindale as our Locum minister. John can be contacted at jmartindale@churchofscotland.org.uk.
THERESE REID | Development WORKER
Therese joined us in 2008 as our Outreach Development Worker to develop the congregation and equip them to be God's people here at Stonelaw and in the community. Despite her youthful appearance, Therese is a mother of three, and a grandmother of four. Before she came to us, she worked as a Chaplaincy Support Worker at Faslane naval base.
Contact Therese by email.
ALAN JENKINS | MUSICAL DIRECTOR
Heading up our musical talent is Alan Jenkins. Alan leads the praise group here at Stonelaw Church which plays a vital role in our Sunday morning worship. Alan is also a secondary school teacher; he's married to Joanne and is father of three daughters.
JACKIE SHEPPARD | CHURCH OFFICER
Jackie cares for the building on a daily basis, to make sure Stonelaw always looks its best.
Elders | stonelaw
"The office of elder is one of the spiritual offices of the Church of Scotland and is concerned with the oversight and pastoral work of a congregation."
That simple, neat and accurate formula is a good way to begin the story of a complex, occasionally controversial, history and theology underpinning the ministry of eldership in the Church of Scotland. Elders are peacemakers, pastoral carers, teachers, leaders by example, and decision makers who are tasked with preaching and teaching those who belong to the church. At present we have 40 serving elders who meet on the first Tuesday of every month.
MEMBERS | STONELAW
Although church membership is never required to become a Christian, or be part of the church family here at Stonelaw, it is a simple way of identifying with a local group of believers who attend the same church and are willing to be identified as a representative of it.
At Stonelaw Church, we currently have more than 300 members. If you are interested in finding out more about membership, please get in touch we are happy to provide more information.
